Frequently asked questions.
What can I expect in my first session?
Your first session is a time for us to get to know one another in a calm, supportive environment. We’ll explore your history, current challenges, and what you hope to gain from therapy. This initial meeting also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and see if my approach feels like a good fit. Together, we’ll begin shaping a path forward that aligns with your values and sense of safety.
Do you offer virtual sessions, and how do they work?
Yes. I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual sessions for clients anywhere in Texas. All you need is a private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with audio and video. Many clients find that online therapy provides flexibility, comfort, and consistency—especially for those balancing family, work, or travel.
How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?
Finding the right therapist is a deeply personal decision. I encourage you to trust your intuition—our relationship should feel safe, authentic, and collaborative. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can learn about my approach and ask any questions before committing to therapy. The best fit is one where you feel seen, heard, and supported in your growth.
What types of concerns do you specialize in treating?
I work with individuals (16 yo +) and couples navigating complex trauma, religious trauma, grief and loss (specializing in child and pregnancy loss), anxiety, depression, family and parenting struggles, and major life transitions. My approach integrates evidence-based and mindfulness-centered methods within a trauma-informed, inclusive, and compassion-focused framework.
